As confusion starts to cloud her thinking and her memory begins to fail her, she receives a devastating diagnosis, early onset Alzheimer's disease. Fiercely independent, Alice struggles to maintain her lifestyle and live in the moment, even as her sense of self is being stripped away. In turns heartbreaking, inspiring and terrifying, Still Alice captures in remarkable detail what's it's like to literally lose your mind.

Thursday, April 5th , 2012 at 6:30 pm
The Outlander by Gil Adamson
It’s 1903, and nineteen-year-old Mary Boulton is fleeing alone across the West, one heart-pounding step ahead of the law. She has just become a widow and her husband's killer. As bloodhounds track her frantic race toward the mountains, she is tormented by mad visions and by the knowledge that her two ruthless brothers-in-law are in pursuit, determined to avenge their younger brother's death. With stunning prose and a captivating mood, Gil Adamson's intoxicating debut novel weds a brilliant literary style to the gripping tale of one woman's desperate escape.

Readers' Advisory Just for You!

Something New for Readers!
Experience Books & Authors, a new resource available to fiction and nonfiction readers of all ages.
